I understand
that the Regional Board wi 11 want a determination of the DIPE extent.
I carefully reviewed the boring logs for wells MW -1, MW -7, MW -12
and MW -8 and illustrated their respective lithologies on the cross
section. I can find no obvious geologic indication or well construction
information that suggests other than the downgradient extent of DIPE
has been adequately assessed (between MW -12 and MW -8). If this
plume was the tail end, as you suggest, I would expect to see residual
concentrations in MW -8 as we have seen in the other wells. If you
think otherwise, and see the need for additional downgradient wells,
let me know and I will speak to my client about this. I will call you
before Friday to see what you think. Thanks for your help.
WJUU1
