Box 388 _
Stockton, California 9520170388
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
Subject: Rainbo Baking Company/Earth Grains Facility (Site Code 19093)
2651 South Airport Way ''
Stockton, California
We understand that leaking underground fuel tank (LUFT) policy changes are
presently being discussed between the State Water Resources Control Board, the
- regional boards, and the focal cleanup oversight agencies. Because significant
changes to California's LUFT guidelines may result from these discussions, we
rwould request a -postponement in the implementation of the remedial corrective
action scheduled for this facility. Please accept that Rainbo is not canceling plans
for this corrective action,; only deferring'them until state policies are clarified.
In the interim, groundwater sampling will be`performed at this facility in February.
1996, and thereafter on a quarterly basis. Sample analytical results will be duly
submitted to San Joaquin County to provide current groundwater quality data.
Sincerely yours,
r PHILIP ENVIRONMENTALSERVICESCORPORATION
Mark F.
