(Burlington) is requesting San Joaquin County approval to dispose of augered soil cuttings at the subject facility. The soil cuttings would be disposed of as a thin layer on Rainbo's unimproved property, near the northwest portion of the lot. Approximately 7.25 cubic yards of cuttings, generated from 5 boreholes (MW -9 through MW -13) that were drilled from March 15 to 17, 1994, are currently stored at the Rainbo site. About 5 cubic yards of that soil are stockpiled on and covered by plastic sheeting. Approximately 2.25 cubic yards are stored in sealed drums. The drum inventory record, included in Attachment A of this letter, shows the current disposition of the soil cuttings. Analytical results of borehole soil samples (tabulated in Attachment A) indicate that the cuttings should pose no health risk. The 60 -foot soil sample from borehole MW -13 was the only sample (of the 14 analyzed samples) that contained a measurable petroleum hydrocarbon concentration.
