Airport Way <br />Stockton, CA - <br />San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br />(PHS/EHD) has reviewed the "Results of Fourth Quarter 1993 Groundwater Sampling" <br />dated March 1994 prepared by Anderson Consulting- Group and the "Groundwater <br />Monitoring Well Installation Report" dated April 25, 1994 prepared by Burlington <br />Environmental for the above referenced site., <br />The Burlington Environmental report discusses previous work at the site and <br />states that 450 cubic yards of soil were excavated during removal of the two <br />UST's in 1987 and the 120 cubic yards of this soil that was impacted by gasoline <br />was disposed of offsite. In previous reports it stated that the soil from the <br />over -excavation of the two UST's removed in 1987 was placed in the northwest <br />portion of the property. Please provide PHS/EHD with verification of the offsite <br />disposal of the 120 cubic yards of contaminated soil. Also discuss the <br />disposition of soil generated during the drilling of monitoring wells 1 through <br />8 and soil borings 1 and 2. <br />Work at this site has not progressed in a timely manner since December 1991. <br />Burlington Environmental stated in their report conclusions that they would <br />prepare a corrective action plan. A "Corrective Action Plan" (CAP) should be <br />submitted by September 1,- 1994 to PHS/EHD and Central Valley Regional Water <br />Quality Control Board. <br />Before approving your "CAP" PHS/EHD will conduct a 30 day public notice to <br />consider comments on the proposed plan. An "Executive Summary" should be <br />submitted with the "CAP" to accompany our public notice. Three copies of the <br />"CAP" and "Executive Summary" should be submitted to PHS/EHD.
