subsurface (gaseous, solid, dissolved, and free product phases) can partition
into the membrane. Bulk fluids, either gas or liquid, do not cross the
membrane. After diffusing across the membrane, the VOCs are partitioned
into the carrier gas. The carrier gas is then rapidly drawn to the surface for
y analysis.
The gas will be analyzed by a mobile gas chromatograph (GC) with Electron
M Capture Detectors (ECD); Photoionization Detectors (PID),; and Flame
1tyQ
Ionization Detectors (FID) Detection limits for VOCs are approximately,1.0,
part -per -million. Reports for the analysis will be generated on site for a rapid
rJ assessment of VOC concentrations.
The data from the soil conductivity and MIP will be used to position -five;
hydkopunch-borings around._ each_C.PT,boring. The hydro -punch borings will
be advanced to depths of approximately 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100 feet.
