3.6 SUMMARY OF DATA GAPS <br />Based on a review of the currently available information and historical data for the Site the <br />following data gaps have been identified: <br />• Lateral extent of vadose zone soil impacts north and south of the former gasoline UST <br />excavation. The scope of work presented in this document will address this data gap; <br />• Vertical and lateral extent of groundwater impacts. The scope of work presented in this <br />document will address this data gap; <br />• Risk associated with the vapor intrusion and inhalation pathways. A soil -vapor <br />investigation will be conducted as part of future site activities following remediation; <br />L• Sensitive receptors. A sensitive receptor survey will be conducted as part of future site . <br />activities); and <br />�: • An estimate of mass of.TPH in soil and groundwater. The written report presenting the <br />r results of the investigation outlined in this document will include an estimate of mass of <br />1 1 TPH in groundwater, and soil at the Site. <br />l 4.0 PROPOSED SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The objective of the, proposed scope of services is to further assess the vertical and lateral,, <br />extent of contamination in the area of the former gasoline UST excavation. Four CPT borings <br />will be drilled at locations in, downgradient of; and cross -gradient of the former gasoline UST <br />excavation. I. <br />The scope of services will include the following activities: (1) field preparation; (2) drilling and <br />�l sampling of CPT borings; (3) disposal of investigative -derived waste; and (4) data evaluation <br />and reporting. <br />4.1 FIELD PREPARATION <br />Prior to beginning the.field program, ETIC will arrange for access to the Site and a schedule <br />which will accommodate operations at the bakery. Appropriate drilling permits will be <br />j�" obtained from the SJCEHD. A health and safety plan will be prepared and implemented during <br />I i all activities performed at the Site. <br />The proposed locations for drilling will be marked and checked for the presence of underground <br />utilities by Underground Service Alert. A private utility -locating contractor will also be hired <br />to identify the presence of underground utilities. <br />�1 <br />SL AIR SCM and RI WP 13 <br />
