' Well Sampling <br /> P g <br />' The groundwater monitoring wells were purged and sampled using either a PVC and <br /> Teflon bailer, respectively, or a Grundfos RediFlo-2 electric submersible pump (refer to <br />' Water Sample Field Data Sheets) Glass bottles of at least 40 milliliters volume and fitted <br /> with Teflon-lined septa were used in sampling for volatile organics These bottles were <br />' filled completely to prevent air from remaining in the bottle A positive meniscus forms <br /> when the bottles are completely full A convex Teflon septum was placed over the <br />' meniscus to eliminate air After capping, the bottles were inverted and tapped to verify <br /> that they did not contain air bubbles The sample containers for other parameters were <br /> filled and capped If required and/or requested by the Client, duplicate sample analyses <br />' were performed on five percent of the groundwater samples collected <br /> SAMPLE HANDLING AND DOCUMENTATION <br /> The following section specifies the procedures and documentation used dui ing sample <br /> handling <br /> Sample Handling <br />' All sample containers were labeled immediately following sample collection Samples <br />' were kept cool with ice until received by the laboratory If the sampling was conducted <br /> over more than Ice is replaced each day to maintain refrigeration At the time of sampling, <br /> each sample is logged on a Chain-of-Custody record that accompanies the sample to the <br /> Department of Health Services-approved laboratory <br /> A-4 <br /> E ICT1102\102QR02 DOC <br />
