Groundwater Monitoring Well <br /> Installation Report <br />'4 Rainbo Baking Company/Earth Gratin Facility <br /> 2651 South Airport Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> w <br /> 1 PROJECT INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of the Rainbo Baking Company (Rainbo), Burlington Environmental Inc <br /> (Burlington) installed five additional groundwater monitoring wells at the Earth Grains <br /> Division (Earth Grains) facility in Stockton, California These five wells augment the <br /> original eight well monitoring system, and replace wells that have been dry or intermittently <br /> ' <br /> dry due to drought conditions When the original wells were installed, groundwater was <br /> approximately 35 feet below ground surface (BGS) Due to drought conditions, the current <br /> groundwater depth is about 55 feet BGS <br /> Data from the new wells has been used to assist in the delineation of the extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon impact at the facility This impact that potentially originated from a <br /> ' former Rainbo underground storage tank (UST) that was removed in 1987 Information from <br /> these wells will also be used to design a groundwater remediation system <br /> ' This report describes investigative methods utilized for this project, including drilling, <br /> well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, and laboratory testing This report <br /> characterizes subsurface conditions, summarizes soil and groundwater sample laboratory <br /> results, re-assesses prior work, and recommends that a corrective action plan be prepared <br /> 1 <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> As shown on Figure 1, the Earth Grains facility is located at 2651 South Airport Way <br /> in Stockton (San Joaquin County), California This bakery products plant is situated within <br /> Sections 22 and 23, Township 1 North, Range 6 East of the Mount Diablo Base and <br /> Meridian <br /> 1 <br /> 04/94/121382/125997/STOCKREP REP11 <br />
