The report evaluated results of soil vapor
extraction (SVE) treatment at the Source Area, soil vapor sampling and analyses, and
vadose zone modeling and presented data to support soil closure on the basis that the soils
no longer pose a threat to further contamination of groundwater. The report also
proposed to dismantle the SVE system and abandon the VEW and VMP wells associated
With SVE treatment per requirements of the San Joaquin County Public Health Service.
Revised Monitoring and Reporting Schedule
In Reference 2, Parsons, on behalf BP proposed a reduction in groundwater sampling
frequency from quarterly to a semiannual for monitoring wells. Sampling of the full
monitoring well array will be performed in February and August of each year and limited
