The SRI report presents results
of an additional investigation conducted to define the lateral and vertical extent of groundwater
contamination beneath the northeast corner of the property.
The responses adequately address my comments on the first quarterly monitoring report. However, I
have not received the remedial action work plan which was due on 18 May according to the schedule
attached to the responses.
I concur with the findings of the SRI report and its recommendation to install three shallow monitoring
wells in the frontage road across South Airport Way from the northeast corner of the property. In
addition to the shallow monitoring wells, I suggest that an intermediate depth well be installed at P-14
where 3.3 ppb of trichloroethylene was detected.
By 10 July 1998, please provide an updated schedule and respond to my comment on the SRI report. If
you have any questions, you may call me at (916) 255-3081.
1
"PHILIP ISORENA
Associate Engineer
PSI:psi/lsb
cc: San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Stockton
Mr. Fred Kintzer, Parsons Engineering Science, Inc., Oakland
IRecycled Paper Our mission is to preserve and enhance the quality of California's water resources. and
ensure their proper allocation and efficient use.for the benefit of present and future generations.
