BP sold the facility but has retained environmental
responsibility for certain conditions prior to the sale. As you are aware, three field
programs were conducted at the site. An initial soil vapor survey was followed up
with two additional programs that included groundwater sampling. Chemicals
detected in the groundwater are 1,1 dichloroethylene (1,1 DE) and 1,1,1
trichloroethane (TCA). We also detected trichloroethylene (TCE) in two
groundwater samples.
As per your discussion with Laura Odenthal of McLaren Hart, we are sending a
copy of the report to Antonia Vorster at the Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Thank you for your assistance with these field projects. I look forward to
discussing the results with you. Please call me at (216) 586-4980 after you have
had a chance to review the report so we can discuss the results.
Than You,
William B. arber
cc: R. M.
