Drilling Permits - Subsurface drill holes and probes that extend to groundwater require
permits from the San Joaquin County Public Health Service, Environmental Health
Division. One permit is required per parcel of land for each drilling subcontractor and is
valid for one year. The County inspector is to be notified for on-site approval of well
seals and completion of grouting.
2. Encroachment Permit - Drilling in a public right-of-way requires a permit from the City
of Stockton, Public Works Department.
3. Underground Utilities Clearances - On-site drilling locations will be cleared for utilities
by the AASC facility engineer. Off-site locations will be cleared by calling Underground
Service Alert (USA) with sufficient lead time for the service to notify all member utility
agencies.
4. Wastewater Disposal Permit - A Special Permit from the City of Stockton, Department of
Municipal Utilities, was obtained.
