The borings will be started by hand augering to a depth of 5 feet. Waste Handling Direct push drilling is expected to generate little or no soil wastes. What little water may be generated from sampling and decontamination washing will be contained in 55-gallon, DOT-approved drums and moved to the paved staging location on the north side of the GWETS at the end of each work day. Waste water produced by equipment decontamination and well development will be clarified and decanted into the groundwater treatment system influent tank. Construction debris and PPE waste will be removed and properly disposed by the drilling subcontractor. Soil and sediment wastes will be contained in drums, sampled, and held temporarily pending environmental analysis. Proposed Schedule The proposed direct push groundwater sampling project will be scheduled upon execution of access agreements for drilling on three parcels: Buzz Oates Realty (the vacant parcel that contains MW-15), Tamura Company, and the owner of the newly developed property at 3610 South Airport Way across the street from the Tamura Building. Encroachment permits from the City of Stockton Public Works Department will also be needed for drilling in public rights-of-way.
