Mr. Gerald Djuth
March 6, 2003
Page 3
All groundwater samples will be analyzed by the standard project method for analysis of
halogenated VOCs (Method SW 8021B) using the same detection limit (0.5 µg/L). All
groundwater sample analyses will be performed by SPL, Houston, TX, which is the
laboratory that regularly performs all water analyses for semiannual groundwater
monitoring and bi-weekly treatment system discharge compliance.
Grouting and Waste Handling
-All boreholes will be sealed by grouting immediately following collection of the samples.
Grout will be emplaced from the bottom up using a bentonite/cement mixture in
compliance with drilling permit requirements of San Joaquin County Public Health
Service, Environmental Health Division. All waste water produced by equipment
decontamination and purging will be contained and disposed into the groundwater
treatment system influent tank and solid wastes will be hauled away by the drilling
subcontractor for proper offsite disposal.
Proposed Schedule
Implementation of work plan activities is tentatively scheduled to take place two weeks
after RWQCB acceptance of this plan. A report would be prepared containing
recommendations and submitted to the RWQCB within six weeks after completion of all
analytical work.
Please call me at our Walnut Creek office at (925) 941-3723 or contact Bill Barber at
(216) 271-8038 if you have any questions or require clarification.
Very truly yours,
P7L// s
/ i
Frederick. .
