The water run-off had collected in the north <br /> and south end of the building. A Notice to Abate was issued to the facility owner Mr. Dale Huff by <br /> Muniappa Naidu, Senior REHS, EHD, to analyze the run-off for hazardous waste characteristics and <br /> dispose of accordingly. Another notice to abate was issued to Mr. Huff on June 4, 2009 for the clean up of <br /> the stain along an area of approximately 300 feet by 50 feet area impacted by the water runoff on the <br /> south end of the building. <br /> Violation: As of this date, Mr. Dale Huff has not taken any corrective actions to investigate and cleanup <br /> the contaminated area at the site. Please be advised that disposal of hazardous waste of an <br /> unauthorized point is a violation of Health and Safety Code§25189.5. <br /> Corrective Action: The EHD is referring the oversight of the investigation and cleanup to the <br /> Department of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC)and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board(CVRWQCB). Please contact Tim Miles of DTSC at(916)255-3710 to determine <br /> proper oversight. <br /> A"Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge"report was filed with the DTSC and the CVRWQCB <br /> pursuant to Health and Safety Code§25180.7.
