PHSiEF O has the following comments for your consideration.
The report included the an lytical results obtained from the soil and groundwater sarriples
collacted on.January and 4, 1:096, Significant soil and groundwater contamination was
evidenced. Atrequested previously a summery of all analytical results should be prepared and
included in subsequent reports.
Samples from soil borings, SB1 and 582 did not extend to a greater depth than approximately
15 feet below ground surface because the buried concrete slab was encountered. While sail
samples did not undergo laboratory analysis, oaring logs should have been included with this
report. Please submit the boring logs for soil borings SB1 and SB2 for historical reference.
A copy of the site plan and analytical summary tables have been included for your information.
Meese note that additional soil and groundwater investigation will be required. PHS/EHD has
tentatively scheduled a meeting for June 11, 1996 at 10.00 AM in the office of PHS1EHD so
that the next phase of investigation can be discussed.
If you have you have any questions, please contact Mary Meays at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, F EHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary. ltilleays, Serf rEHS Margare Lagorlo, RENS
Site Mitigation unit Lead Senior
MM\5000SAIR
enclosures
c :
Elizabeth Thayer, CVRIi QC:B cc: Lori Casias, SVIIRCB
A Division of Sara Joaquin County Health Care,Services
