1
16, 1995 FIRST QUARTER
' GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
7759 S. AIRPORT WAY
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
1
1.0 PURODUCTION
' On March 17, 1995, Roy F. Weston, Inc (WESTON®) completed the first quarter of
groundwater monitoring at the San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District facility
located at 7759 S Airport Way in Stockton, California (Figure 1). The purpose of this sampling
event was to monitor for the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater beneath the
location of two former underground storage tanks (USTs) which were removed in 1987
2.0 FIELD SAMPLING SUMMARY
Three monitor wells are located at the facility as shown in Figure 2 These wells were
originally installed as part of a groundwater investigation program, which was completed during
' August 1994 All three monitor wells were screened in the shallow unconfined aquifer beneath
the site
The groundwater sampling program included measuring the water level depth in each well,
measuring groundwater physical characteristics and collecting groundwater samples for
laboratory analysis. Upon arrival at the site, depth to groundwater was measured in each well
relative to a marked survey point. During the purge of each well, measurements of temperature,
pH and electrical conductivity were taken after each purged well volume
' All three monitor wells on site were sampled after purging a minimum of three well volumes
Groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D) and
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) A detailed description of the field
' activities is presented in the Field Report presented in Appendix A.
1
' LIPROJEC S1SANJ0QITMAD4ST QTR 1 21 April 1995
