APP <br />Well Installation and Sampling at California National Guard Field Maintenance Shop <br />• Stockton, California <br />6.0 TRAINING <br />Training documentation will be inserted as necessary in the field to be included in Appendix F. <br />Information on training is also included in Section 5.0, "Training" in the SSHP. <br />6.1 NEw HIRE TRAINING <br />A new hire training program is currently in place as part of the OTIE policy (as per 6a). For the <br />orientation, the line manager conducts a discussion with the new employee to review applicable <br />safety regulations, ensure training certifications are up to date, and answer any safety-related <br />questions. The new hire meeting attendance is documented and kept in the Corporate office <br />files. <br />6.2 SITE-SPECIFIC ORIENTATION TRAINING <br />The SSHO will provide and document site-specific orientation training during the project kickoff <br />meeting and whenever new workers arrive on site. No site workers will be allowed to begin work <br />until the site-specific training is completed and documented. This training will address this <br />APP/SSHP and all safety and health requirements and procedures pertinent to site operations. <br />As part of the site-specific orientation training, the following topics will be covered: <br />• Project introduction and orientation; <br />• Potential site hazards (chemical, physical, and biological); <br />• Hazard communication for chemicals used on site; <br />• Selection, use, and limitation of PPE; <br />• Emergency procedures including provisions for medical facilities and obtaining <br />medical treatment or emergency assistance; <br />• General safety and health policies and procedures; <br />• Employee and supervisor responsibilities for reporting all accidents; <br />• Blood borne pathogen briefing; <br />• Content of the APP/SSHP/AHAs; <br />• Review of AHA before any task is performed and when a new worker performs this <br />activity for the first time; and <br />• Additional training, if required, for the completion of field tasks will be identified and <br />provided for personnel as work progresses. <br />• <br />All site workers will have completed 40 -Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency <br />(HAZWOPER) plus the 8 -Hour Annual Refresher. All Manager/Supervisors will have the 8 -Hour <br />Supervisor training. The SSHO will also have cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid <br />Training. At least two site workers, who have current first aid/CPR training, will be on site at all <br />times when work is underway. The SSHO will have completed OSHA's 30 -hour construction <br />safety class or equivalent within the last 5 years. <br />OTI E 11 <br />
