APP
Well Installation and Sampling at California National Guard Field Maintenance Shop
Stockton, California
29 CFR 1910.178, which includes re -certification on a periodic basis. A certificate of training in
compliance with this regulation is required in the employee's training record.
6.7 RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS
All safety and health recordkeeping requirements mandated by 29 CFR 1926, and 29 CFR 1904
will be followed. These records include accident/incident reports, Weekly Safety Inspection
Checklists, Daily Tailgate Safety Briefings, health and safety field logbooks, safety deficiency
tracking log, and MSDS. Copies of pertinent forms are included in the SSHP (Appendix 1) and
will be held in the project files by the SSHO. All medical and training records will be kept with the
project files.
6.8 SAFETY MEETINGS
Site safety briefings will be conducted prior to the start of work each day. During these sessions,
each worker (subcontractors included) will be encouraged to share their observations, thoughts,
and experiences on safety and health related issues pertinent to the job site. This venue also
allows site management to share important hazard communication topics with the workers, such
as plan -of -the -day activities and associated hazards and controls, required use of personal
protective equipment, decontamination procedures, emergency procedures, safe work
practices, and APP/SSHP/AHA changes, to name a few. The information gathered in these
sessions will be used to correct any unsafe conditions or work practices at the job site and
amend the site safety documents as appropriate.
AHAs will be reviewed, discussed, and signed by all personnel at the daily safety meetings for •
each definable feature of work. AHAs previously discussed may need to be reviewed if new
personnel, not previously participating in that activity, are on site. AHAs will be updated based
on the daily safety discussions.
6.9 PERIODIC SAFETY TRAINING
Periodic safety training for supervisors and employees will be given in the format of the training
described above or provided as specific needs arise. This training may be in the form of informal
brown bags covering one or more safety topics or part of more formalized web -based safety
training.
OTI E 14
