As noted in the appended report, the water levels shown on the County maps is the hydrostatic head level of the aquifers in the area and does not necessarily represent the level that water might either be found or not found if these aquifers are separated from the near surface deposits by aquicludes . Figure 2 shows the water levels for the fail of 1986 . These data indicate that conditions were about tl.e same as in 1_990 with a water level of about plus 151 . Figure W shows the water levels for the spring of 190-3 , a recert year of high water levels . This map shows that the groundwater heard was about plus 20 ' at -..at time , indicating that it would rise to within 5 ' of the sur�ace . These data show that the vadose zone , if it is in hydraulic ccrnection with the aquifers below about -100 ' , where most of the local water wells are completed, could have baen ex- tended by about S ' between 1963 and 1990 , from 5 ' below the surface to about 10 ' below the surface . This writer believes that to be true for the general area; however, local conditions at the excavation site could be different . CURRENT STATUS The site is as described in the attached rerort .
