PHS/EHD will be contacted for their concurrence prior to submittal of the samples to the laboratory for <br />analysis. Samples not selected for analysis will be hold for possible analysis. Laboratory analysis will <br />be done on a five day turnaround time. <br />2.1.5 Soil Cuttings <br />A direct push rig will be used to advance the borehole and collect soil samples; no soil cuttings will be <br />generated during advancement of the sampler._ Excess soil from the continuous sample will be <br />drummed onsite until the results of laboratory analysis allow determination of disposal options. <br />Similarly, a small amount of water will be generated from .the decontamination of equipment. and kept <br />on site. <br />2.1.6 Borehole Backfill <br />The borehole will be backfilled with a 100% .Benionite slurry. The surface of each borehole will be <br />completed to match the existing grade. <br />2.2 REPORT PREPARATION <br />Earth Tech will prepare a report which summarizes the findings of the field investigation, estimates the <br />vertical extent of contamination (if found), and recommends closure and/or further investigation. The <br />report will be reviewed and signed by a Registered Geologist and will include'. figures showing -the <br />borehole locations and estimated contaminant plume location and concentration (if applicable). <br />3 <br />
