The on site health and safety officer is responsible to oversee the <br />safety of the project. It is the CIH's responsibility to oversee the safety of the <br />workers entering the tank. It is the P.E.'s responsibility to inspect the tank <br />before and after the repair if any, and report his findings to the San Joaquin <br />county inspectors. It is the responsibility of the contractor to assure that the <br />work is being done within the law that is setforth in the California State <br />building codes. The C.L Bryant representative is to over see the welfare of <br />the tank. <br />5.0 Job Hazard Analysis <br />5.1 Physical Hazards <br />The major physical hazards on site are expected to be <br />a. Mechanical hazards <br />b. Fire/explosion <br />c. Vapor inhalation <br />d. Electrical shock <br />Personnel that are working directly in the tank will be at the most risk <br />of these hazards but everyone on scene in some way or another can be <br />affected by these hazards. <br />5.2 Mechanical Hazards <br />The equipment that will be being used will be as follows <br />a. Air compressor <br />b. Air grinders <br />c. Man lift tripods <br />d. Fluorescent (explosion proof) light <br />e. Air hoses <br />All equipment must meet or exceed the OSHA/ANSI <br />requirements. All persons using the equipment must know and <br />understand the laws that govern the equipment that they will be <br />using. All persons that arrive on the site must be aware of the <br />
