The work plan for the removal of ft concrete and the pipeiinms leading to the <br />tame will be provided by the con=wr. The following procedure is basad on &a asa-umoon that <br />the hale will be dewabned during the vpeimtion, due to the presence of the relatively lbgh vwaler <br />level. For eeae of rvferenee, the two teals will be referred to as the Good tank and the Damaged <br />umk. in the fallowing pcocodum, it is assumed that the clear spacing between dww two tasnks is <br />a minimum of f £t, If this distance is less, please notify J -M_ Pkcr&. <br />step 1 <br />Remove all gasal me from dw Good t * w d double rinse die inW6or surface of the Goad <br />tank. <br />Step 2 <br />Fill both tanks with water to fliz level of the weber table prior to removal of any pea <br />grwml. This is a safety p -motion in rase the dewatering procedure fads over as extended period <br />of time. <br />St�cp 3 <br />Remove ooncrebe over both tanks. love piping from the Damaged tank. Some piping <br />to the QwA tank may also have to be removed fix mfety zeawns anti for vmw of re wain of pea <br />gravel. Be sure that all the fill and vapor lines are plugged ofd <br />St* 4 <br />begin removing pea gravel on both tanks down to the level of tl a vnOr table but cot <br />Maw the sp&VJine of the ttmks. Be sura that the levai of the pea gravel does not vary mere <br />than 12 in. auess the entire p1mer arca of the holo for both tants- Uawd on oauversatioas with <br />"V" individuals, tlia roster utile is ciamtly about 4 it. below the top of the two tanks or about <br />7 fL from the concrete surface. Therefore, the water table should be located above the springline <br />of these 10 & diameter fps. <br />
