SL <br /> E T <br /> Emergency Response and Training Solutions <br /> Incident Background : <br /> i <br /> On September 7th, 2018 , XPO Logistics terminal personnel reported a spill occurred at <br /> XPO Logistics , Terminal UST, of 0 . 5 gallon of Non-Hazardous, ZINC CLADO DOT <br /> Zinc-Rich Coating (Part A) that occurred on 09/07/2018 at 1300 EST . It was reported by <br /> XPO , that due to the cans being faulty in design, that (6) 5 - gallon plastic pails were found <br /> to be leaking at the seams around the bottom of the pails and released product onto the <br /> floor of Trailer #3216316 . No storm drains or waterways were impacted by this release. <br /> Emergency Response : <br /> On August 31st, 2018 , XPO Logistics personnel retained Emergency Response and <br /> Training Solutions (ERTS) to manage all necessary regulatory notifications and assist with <br /> cleanup activities . ERTS reviewed the SDS with terminal personnel and concluded they <br /> were comfortable and capable of cleaning the release donning the proper PPE per the SDS . <br /> Regulatory Notifications : <br /> Pursuant to California Code of Regulations , Title 13 , Division 2 , Chapter 6, Article 3 , <br /> Section 1166 ; ERTS made all necessary regulatory notifications . At 1657 EST, ERTS <br /> notified the California Emergency Management Agency, Dispatcher Devan acknowledged <br /> the release and provided report # 18 -6061 . At 1710 EST, ERTS notified the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health CUPA, Desiree acknowledged the release and no reference <br /> number was provided. <br /> Corrective Action : <br /> On September 7th, 20185 XPO Logistics terminal personnel containerized the 6 - 5 gallon <br /> impacted pails and spent absorbents into 2- 55 -gallon metal drums and staged the waste in <br /> the terminals waste area for proper disposal . <br /> Waste Disposal : <br /> XPO Logistics managed all waste for this incident.
