Must be able to effectively change tasks at a <br /> moment's notice when the situation requires. <br /> • On a daily basis may be exposed to shop elements such as dust,noise,oils, <br /> coolants, greases, grinding debris,compressed air, metal shavings,propane, <br /> solvents,hazardous waste and materials. <br /> • May be required to operate overhead crane during heavy repair maintenance and <br /> loading/unloading trucks. <br /> • Exposure to outside weather conditions;to noise and extreme heat within <br /> locomotive engine rooms;to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed <br /> to risk of electrical shock;to moving locomotives and train consists; and to diesel <br /> exhaust fumes. <br /> • Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. <br /> Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health <br /> hazards related to electronics work.
