There was no hazardous waste label observed on the pan. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> - the words “Hazardous Waste” <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This is a minor violation. <br /> 607 CCR 66266.81(b) Damaged lead acid batteries not properly managed and labeled. <br />A smashed lead acid battery was observed in front of the side shop with the contents leaking out. <br />A damaged battery shall be managed so as to minimize the release of acid and lead and to protect the handlers <br />and the environment, including at a minimum: <br />1. stored and transported in a nonreactive, structurally secure, closed container capable of preventing the <br />release of acid and lead; <br />2. a container holding one or more damaged batteries shall be labeled with the date that the first battery in the <br />container was placed there, i.e., the initial date of accumulation; <br />3. all container labels shall be written in ink, paint or other weather-resistant material so that the date is legible <br />and conspicuous <br />4. a container holding one or more damaged batteries shall be packed for transportation in a manner that <br />prevents the container from tipping, spilling or breaking during the transporting. <br />Immediately manage, store, and label this damaged lead-acid battery in accordance with Title 22 regulations. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br />Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br />lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters <br />for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by February 6, 2019. <br />Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
