The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for TRACY CHEVROLET as of April 17, 2018. <br /> Open violations from December 05, 2017 inspection <br /> Violation#601 -Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> In the maintenance shop area, inspector observed an open white container of brake shavings with a hazardous <br /> waste label marked with an accumulation date of 05/20/2017. This container is stored on site more than 90 days. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy <br /> of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. In <br /> the car washer area, inspector observed a blue 55 gallon drum with a hazardous waste label containing <br /> gasoline/diesel was missing the accumulation start date. In the maintenance shop area, inspector observed a black <br /> 55 gallon drum marked used oil containing used oil filter co-mingled with paper filters without an accumulation start <br /> start. In the area around the storage waste area, on the right side of the door, inspector observed a black 55 gallon <br /> drum containing oily rags with no accumulation start date. In the quick service oil changing area, inspector observed <br /> two 55 gallon blue drums containing used oil filters with no accumulation start date. One of the 55 gallon blue drum <br /> was filled with used oil filters and the second 55 gallon blue drum contained about 6 or so used oil filter. Mr. Ryan <br /> Ford stated that the second 55 gallon blue drum was suppose to be new and to be used until the first 55 gallon blue <br /> drum was completely full. He immediately transfered those 6 or so used oil filters into the first 55 gallon blue drum <br /> and corrected during the time of the inspection. With all the listed drums with no accumulation start date, Mr. Ryan <br /> Ford stated that he was not sure when the technicians started placing items in the drums and was not comfortable <br /> in correcting the accumulation start date during inspection. He stated that he will do some research when the items <br /> were first place inside these drums. Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, <br /> immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. <br /> Since these containers have been on site longer than 90 days, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste <br /> hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> Paqe 2 of 3 <br />
