The eyewash station water was brown and dirty. The Senior Science Tech Tom Tuzinowski stated that the <br />eyewash stations were tested once a semester. All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection <br />equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained <br />as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately begin this practice. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />The following containers had a date of accumulation greater then 180 days: <br />-A 4 liter plastic bottle of Ethylol with a date of accumulation dated 10-6-15 <br />-A 4 liter plastic bottle of Propanol with a date of accumulation dated 9-15-15 <br />-A 6 liter plastic bottle of Salicylic Acid with a date of accumulation dated 10-24-14 <br />-A 2 liter plastic bottle of Copper Chloride with a date of accumulation dated 9-11-15 <br />-A 2 liter plastic bottle of Copper Sulfate with a date of accumulation dated 10-9-15 <br />Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored <br />on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler <br />to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />
