Permission was granted to do the inspection and take <br /> photos by Edward on behalf of the property owner.The following wastes were observed in the shop: <br /> -one 55 gallon barrel (full)with unknown contents found in the back of the shop <br /> -approximately 18 5 gallon buckets stacked up in the corner full of unknown contents <br /> -one mop bucket(full)with used oil and water <br /> -one large used oil spill in the corner of the shop with used oil filters on the ground <br /> -four 5 gallon blue buckets (full)at the entrance of the shop with unknown contents. <br /> -one 5 gallon bucket filled with used paper oil filters at the entrance of the shop <br /> -two 5 gallon buckets filled with used oil at the entrance of the shop. <br /> -one 1 gallon container of diesel exhaust fluid found in the back of the shop <br /> -Several cans of paint were observed in the trash can. The paint waste was generated on site by the painters hired by <br /> Chemanoor Zachariah. <br /> VIOLATIONS: <br /> Discharge of any waste, including sewage <br /> (CA Health and Safety Code 5411) <br /> ° Discharge of waste or sewage to water or within 150 ft. of waterway <br /> (SJC Ordinance Code Sections 9-1125.3, 9-1125.4) <br /> • Improper disposal of a hazardous waste <br /> (CA Health and Safety Code 25189.5) <br /> ° Permitting or Maintaining a Nuisance <br /> (SJC Ordinance Code Section 8-5100) <br /> ° Other Violation <br /> ORRECTIVE ACTIONS/ORDER: <br /> • Investigate and abate contamination under the oversite of the appropriate lead agency. <br /> • Submit copies of hazardous waste manifests/disposal records to the EHD. <br /> Per California Health and Safety Code(HSC)25189.5, hazardous waste cannot be disposed of via abandonment. <br /> Immediately properly dispose of the hazardous waste and submit the final dipsosal records to the EHD. <br /> ° Other Correction <br /> EHD 25-01 Rev.08/17/17 Page 1 of 2 WASTE DISCHARGE/SPILL RESPONSE NOTICE TO ABATE <br /> 1868 E.
