MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -2- <br /> NEWARK GROUP INDUSTRIES, INC. <br /> NEWARK SIERRA PAPERBOARD CORPORATION <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> If the discharge is intermittent rather than continuous, then on the first day of each such intermittent <br /> discharge, the Discharger shall monitor and record data for all of the constituents listed above, after <br /> which the frequencies of analysis given in the schedule shall apply for the duration of each such <br /> intermittent discharge. In no event shall the Discharger be required to monitor and record data more <br /> often than twice the frequencies listed in the schedule. <br /> EFFLUENT MONITORING- <br /> MCDOUGALD SLOUGH PRIOR TO DISCHARGE TO MORMON SLOUGH <br /> Samples shall be collected from McDougald Slough, immediately upstream from its discharge into <br /> Mormon Slough. Samples should be representative of the volume and quality of the discharge. Time <br /> of collection of samples shall be recorded. Effluent monitoring shall include at least the following: <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency <br /> Temperature OF Grab Weekly <br /> pH Number Grab Weekly <br /> Dissolved Oxygen mg/1 - Grab Weekly <br /> RECEIVING WATER MONITORING <br /> All receiving water samples shall be grab samples from Mormon Slough. Receiving water monitoring <br /> shall include at least the following: <br /> Station Description <br /> R-1 At the Lincoln Street Bridge, approximately 200 feet upstream from the point of <br /> discharge <br /> R-2 At the Crosstown Freeway Bridge, approximately 150 feet downstream from the point <br /> of discharge <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Station Frequency <br /> Temperature OF R-I, R-2 Weekly <br /> pH Number R-1, R-2 Weekly <br /> Turbidity NTU R-1, R-2 Weekly <br /> Dissolved Oxygen mg/I R-I, R-2 Weekly <br />
