PICIMWIPUL <br />uuue�vue�oro• mwrw�mee <br />0 <br />Concern #607: Lead acid batteries were observed in the totes full of battery storage with signs of acid leakage. <br />A damaged battery shall be managed so as to minimize the release of acid and lead and to protect the handlers <br />and the environment. The tote has been labeled. These batteries will be wrapped in a plastic bag to better <br />contain any leaks. Additionally, all "damaged" batteries will be shipped in the black liquid tight poly totes. <br />Last, all battery pallets and bins will be labeled with a "Used Battery" label. This is consistent with Title 22 <br />regulations and the DTSC December 2006 Fact Sheet. "Management of Spent Lead -Acid Batteries. Attached <br />Concern #812: Copies of universal waste disposal records were not found on site. Records for Universal <br />Waste shipments have been located dating back to October, 2011 and are available at the facility.
