• � f <br />configuration of piping for both atmospheric and emergency venting purposes. <br />In addition, EarthCon recommends that Pick -N -Pull consider installing alarmed tank level <br />gauges on all tanks. The alarmed tank level gauges would assist operators in preventing <br />overfilling the tanks and the resultant overflow conditions. However, based on the <br />transparency of the polyethylene tanks, documented daily visual inspections would be a <br />sufficient alternative to an alarmed tank level gauge. <br />• Care must be taken to assure that the drains located in the drainage swales at the perimeter <br />of the Drain Building are protected from hazardous materials entering the drain inlets. This <br />may be accomplished in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to: <br />1) Capping drain inlets permanently or maintaining emergency covers onsite in the event <br />of a release from piping or ancillary equipment outside the secondary containment <br />tanks. <br />2) Installing a trench or berm between the drain racks and the drainage swales to preclude <br />spilled materials flowing into the swales. <br />3) Installing a sump that collects materials that flow into the drains and re-routing surface <br />runoff away from the drains. <br />4) Installing an in-line separator that can remove oil and antifreeze from the fluids in the <br />drain. <br />Findings from the Hazardous Waste Tank System Assessment, evaluated against the <br />requirements identified in 22 CCR Section 66265, are summarized in Table 4. <br />Hazardous waste Tank Assessment Stockton, CA <br />Auto Parts Group — Pick -N -Pull $ Project No. 211283 <br />
