Clark Drive, Stockton, CA <br /> Dear Ms. Baker, <br /> EarthCon Consultants CA, Inc. (EarthCon), on behalf of Schnitzer Steel Industries, has <br /> prepared this response to comments (RTC) associated with the email from San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) dated August 1, 2018. This RTC document <br /> provides requested information associated with the Hazardous Waste Tank Assessment for the <br /> Pick N Pull facility located at 3927 E. Clark Drive in Stockton, CA. The following RTC identifies <br /> where the requested information can be located within the Hazardous Waste Tank Assessment. <br /> In addition, instances that needed further clarification were updated in the Hazardous Waste <br /> Tank Assessment and referenced accordingly. The attached Hazardous Waste Tank <br /> Assessment was reviewed and re-certified by a Civil PE as required. <br /> The RTC are provided below: <br /> Comment 1: Tank configuration, material of construction and gross capacity— <br /> Response: This information was provided in Table 1, which lists type, date of <br /> construction, dimensions, and gross capacity for the tanks. <br /> Comment 2: Material thickness & the method used to determine the thickness <br /> Response: Thickness information was provided by the manufacturer, field verified, and <br /> determined to be 3/16" to 1/4", see Table 4. <br /> Comment 3: Description of tank system piping <br /> Response: This information was provided in Table 2, which summarizes the tank system <br /> information. Note that the customer drop off tank doesn't utilize external piping (see <br /> Appendix C for tank drawing and details of internal piping). <br />
