September 231", 2011
Stacy Rivera RECEIVED
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department SEP 2 8 2011
600 East Main Street
Stockton,CA 95202 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
RE:August 18th,2011 inspection at Stockton Pick N Pull,4223 Clark Drive,Stockton,CA.
Ms. Rivera,
This letter serves as our response to your inspection findings from August 18", 2011 at our facility located at 4223 Clark
Drive, Stockton,CA.
Concern#7: The waste collection center consists of a plastic tub with a grate and absorbent below it."Wet"
parts can be set there to drain fluids into the absorbent. This appears to be both diatomaceous
earth based absorbent and clay based absorbent under the tray in this bin. This is based on
generator knowledge of the dismantling industry and their typical practices. This will be disposed
of through our Non RCRA Hazardous Waste Stream for oily solids at this site.
Concern#11: The absorbent was cleaned up and placed in our Non RCRA Hazardous Waste Stream for oily
solids at the site. The shop employees receive annual training on how to manage incidental leaks
of fluid.
Concern#20: The 55 gallon drum label for oily solids was marked for the"toxic'property. (See attached
photo)
Concern#23: The four oil filters were placed in the Non RCRA Hazardous Waste Stream for oily solids at the
site due to the fact that the site does not regularly generate oil filters. Our waste vendor only ships
oil filter in 55 gallon drums so that option was not practical for several oil filters only.
Concern#30: The empty used oil and used antifreeze tanks have been labeled with"Empty" labels that include
the material that was once in them and the date. (See attached photos)
Concern#60-62: The terminated copy of Manifest#008482515JJK was located. (See attached copy)
Concern #79,83,84: The fluorescent bulbs were placed in a prepaid recycling kit from Grainger and shipped off for
recycling. (See attached photos and shipping label copy.)
Sincerely, II/,,`
Chris Orsolini-Environmental Administrator
916.858.3116
corsolini Opicknpull.com
% wj1
10850 Gold Center Drive,Suite 325, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
w .picknpull.com
