LODI February 09, 2016 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS 1,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(1) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> The western 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste sludge had a lid with two holes in it and an accumulation start date ai <br /> 7-1-15. This waste has been on site longer than 180 days. This drum did not have one of the hazardous properties of <br /> flammable, toxic, corrosive, or reactivity marked. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following <br /> information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br /> During the inspection, the manager marked the hazardous properties of toxic and corrosive. Continue to ensure that all <br /> containers are marked with all the required information. Since this container have been on site longer than 180 days, <br /> immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of <br /> the manifest to the EHD. <br /> The eastern 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste sludge lacked the required label information. All hazardous waste <br /> containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br /> During the inspection, the manager labeled this container with the required information. Continue to ensure that all <br /> hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required information. <br /> This is a repeat violation. Class Il. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> On site to conduct a routine hazardous waste inspection. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by 3-8-16 . <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> Page 4 of 6 <br />
