Box 5400 1 �� <br />National Nuclear Security Administration Albuquerque, NM 87185 <br />?012 <br />Distribution <br />Subject: Notification of Class I Permit Modifications to Hazardous Waste Facility Permit EPA <br />ID No. CA28900012923 Sandia National Laboratories/California <br />This letter is to notify you that the California Environmental Protection Agency Department of <br />Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has acknowledged the U.S. Department of Energy/Sandia <br />National Laboratories/California (SNL/CA) request for Class 1 Permit Modifications to its Part <br />A and Part B Permit Application dated January 2012. These applications were approved and by <br />reference were made part of SNL/CA's Hazardous Waste Facility Permit and Hazardous Waste <br />Operation Plan. The Part A application was revised due to a change in signatories and contact <br />information at the Livermore and Albuquerque offices. The modifications to the Part B <br />application include changes in personnel and job titles, an update to the Contingency Plan to <br />reflect current names, addresses, and phone numbers of the facility's emergency contacts and <br />corrections of typographical errors. These are administrative and informational changes. There <br />are no changes in hazardous waste streams, waste volumes, and waste management practices. <br />DTSC has determined that the requested modifications do not need DTSC's prior approval and <br />the changes have no material impact on the Permit conditions as it was originally approved. The <br />revised Part A and Part B applications are now dated January 2012. <br />You are receiving this letter because your name appears on a list maintained by DTSC for the <br />SNL/CA Hazardous Waste Facility. By law, we are required to notify you when modifications <br />are made to our Permit and Hazardous Waste Operation Plan.
