Facilities shall be maintained and <br /> operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion,or release of hazardous waste to air,soil, or surface water <br /> which could threaten human health or the environment Immediately correct all items listed above and manage <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how <br /> this waste was managed. <br /> This is a Class II violation <br /> 303 CCR 66265.33 Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination equipment. <br /> The following observations were made during the inspection: <br /> -At building 843, a damaged pallet of well pumps containing oily liquid was observed outside. <br /> -At building 874,the eyewash station was blocked by a large piece of work equipment <br /> -At upper Corp Yard 875,white residue was observed in the secondary containment Inside the shed. <br /> All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br /> equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of <br /> emergency. Immediately begin this practice. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 401 CCR 66265.171 Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br /> Found a 2 gallon broken white container labeled as chlorine with about 15 grams of white solids at 875 lower Corp <br /> Yard. Hazardous waste shall be stored in a container that is in good condition.
