■ Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory <br />6C n 7 2013 <br />ENVIRONMENT HULTH September 25, 2013 <br />PERMIT/SERVICES <br />Subject: Class I Permit Modifications Public Notice Regarding the "LLNL Site 300 <br />Contingency Plan, " Emergency Preparedness Section of the Building 829 Operation <br />Plan and Administrative/Informational Updates <br />Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Site 300 <br />Dear Reader: <br />You are receiving this notification because your name or the name of your organization is on the <br />Department of Toxic Substances Control's (DTSC) mailing list for Lawrence Livermore <br />National Laboratory (LLNL) Site 300. We are required by the California hazardous waste <br />regulations to notify you when modifications are made to our Hazardous Waste Facility Permit. <br />Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) Site 300, located at Corral Hollow Road, <br />Tracy, California; is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and is jointly operated by <br />US DOE and its contractor, Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC. <br />On May 28, 2013, LLNL submitted Class 1 permit modification requests to: <br />1. Update the Emergency Coordinator list in the Site 300 Contingency Plan. <br />2. Move the emergency preparedness information in the Building 829 permit application to <br />the Site 300 Contingency Plan. This change consolidates emergency preparedness <br />information for the Explosives Waste Storage Facility, Explosives Waste Treatment <br />Facility, Building 883 Container Storage Area and the Building 829 facility, into one <br />emergency response contingency plan. <br />3. Refer to the Site 300 Contingency Plan as the source of emergency preparedness <br />information in the Building 829 permit application. <br />4. Update the Site 300 Contingency Plan globally to reference Building 829, as appropriate. <br />5. Update the contact person for Building 883 Container Storage Areas in the Site 300 <br />Contingency plan. <br />6.
