Due to growth at the lab and the laboratory <br />moves and remodels that are a function of growth, this waste stream can vary in volume from <br />year to year. <br />SOURCE REDUCTION/POLLUTION PREVENTION EVALUATION <br />Description of Measure <br />LBNL will continue to educate researchers and operations personnel on purchases of <br />only those chemicals needed for current research, and will also continue to encourage <br />researchers to substitute less hazardous chemicals whenever possible. <br />Cleanouts of legacy or off -spec chemicals are encouraged as a means of reducing <br />environmental, health and safety risks. <br />September 1, 2015 SB 14 Plan.
