0 <br /> EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN & UNIVERSAL <br /> PRECAUTIONS <br /> EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> In the Event of a Fire: <br /> When a small fire is detected,sound an alarm,go to the nearest fire extinguisher or hose station <br /> and extinguish the fire with all available resources. Under any other circumstance,evacuate <br /> immediately. <br /> In the Event of a Chemical Emergency <br /> See the MSDS data for reactivity precautions and first aid response for the particular chemical(s) <br /> involved. Follow fire plan procedures in the event partial or full evacuation becomes <br /> necessary. <br /> In the Event of a Bomb Threat or Behavior Threat <br /> For a bomb threat,follow fire plan procedures for full evacuation except the head-count <br /> gathering point is as indicated on the evacuation chart as a bomb threat destination point. <br /> Response to a behavior threat depends upon its circumstance and intensity. Remain non- <br /> confrontational and summon assistance as quickly as possible. Refer to the chain of command <br /> if the behavior appears it may escalate to physical violence. Anyone is authorized to summon <br /> the police in the event of physical violence. <br /> In the Event of an Earthquake <br /> Do not attempt to run outside during an earthquake. Seek overhead protection in a doorway or <br /> under a bench,table or desk. When the vibration stops,evacuate into an open area,well away from <br /> building structures and overhead power lines. <br /> In the Event of a Flood <br /> Supervisory personnel will notify all employees by word-of-mouth to evacuate the building(s). <br /> The head count gathering point is as indicated on the evacuation chart as a flood destination point. <br /> Supervisory personnel will completely deactivate building and machinery power as they <br /> leave their respective areas of responsibility. <br /> UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS FOR FIRST AID <br /> PURPORSE <br /> We have established this First Aid Universal Precautions Plan to minimize your exposure to human blood, <br /> body fluids or tissue while administering first aid.You are considered exposed any time you come into <br /> unprotected contact with blood,body fluid or material,mucous membranes,or human tissue other than dry <br /> skin. <br /> PROTECTION.CLEANUP AND DISPOSAL <br /> • You are to assume that all human blood,fluid or tissue is infectious. <br /> • You must wash your hands,or flush your eyes and mucous membranes immediately if exposed <br /> during first aid.Area cleanup will be with a 20-to-1 water and bleach solution or other <br /> recognized medical disinfectant. <br /> • Obviously,don't ingest food or drink anywhere near a contaminated area. <br /> Document#0707717812 <br /> Revision Date:04/03/01—SECT 12A.pdf <br />
