STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE: SLOT CLEANING PROCEDURE <br />Racking, Walls <br />Visual Reference (1): Need for deep cleaning <br />C <br />Visual Reference (2): Ready for Maintenance <br />V. Procedure: <br />a. Facility Cleaning Matrix <br />i. A Facility Cleaning Matrix (slot cleaning map) should be developed as a visual reference to <br />assist sanitarians in sanitation scheduling and sign off. <br />ii. A diagram of the facility should be developed with slot locations notated on the diagram. <br />iii. Utilize a color coded protocol to assign the frequency of sanitation, such as green for <br />monthly cleaning, yellow for weekly cleaning, and red for twice weekly cleaning. <br />iv. Label the slots, aisles, docks and special storage areas with the appropriate sanitation <br />frequency color code. <br />v. This matrix should be posted where it can be seen and notated by appropriate personnel, such <br />as facility communication boards, break rooms, etc. The board shall be no less than 3 feet <br />long and 2 feet high, and will have the slot cleaning matrix, the slot cleaning log, the <br />approved cleaning products list, and the frequency matrix posted conspicuously. <br />b. Approved Cleaning Products <br />The following products are approved for use for the slot cleaning program.
