Management of Waste (Item 405, 601)
RL
OCT 1.6 2.015
ENVIRONMENTAL.
I4C11T'-9 r1CQ40TAACRIT.
The Company, with assistance from our waste broker and environmental consultant, performed a
compatibility survey on October 13, 2015, reviewing items located in aerosol waste bins. Upon
review, it was determined that wastes were managed properly. The company shall continue to
review its aerosol products and lists to assess whether there is an incompatibility issue and shall
take appropriate steps, if necessary.
Regarding Manifest 001122844, the Company confirmed with RM Jones that this manifest
corresponds to the disposal of the 4 drums of oil solids, 2 drums of sorbents (with oil), 1 drum of
used grease and 1 drum of oil filters. The antifreeze noted at the time of the inspection was
commingled with the oil. The Company has a separate profile for antifreeze and has
communicated to employees that antifreeze shall not be commingled with oil in the future.
Labelling (Item 605)
Labels have been reviewed and revised to include additional information. An example of an
updated label is provided as Exhibit 6. These preprinted labels will be provided and used by the
facility early next week.
Aerosol Can Processing (Item 710. 711)
As previously discussed, the Company discontinued its puncturing procedure in early July 2015.
The puncturing device was placed in our scrap metal bin. The liquid waste from the puncturing
process was appropriately disposed of on manifest #008025299, provided as Exhibit 7.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions you may have. I look forward
to working with you.
Sincerely,
Je e E. Burns
Attorney, Compliance & Government Relations
