(ET1C) is submitting this letter to request site <br />access at the above -referenced location. Box 1810 <br />Aptos, CA 95001 <br />According to this information, you have been identified as the owners of the property, which <br />currently houses a paved and landscaped areas (identified on the attached Assessor's Map as parcel <br />number 7). The California Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB) has requested that <br />ExxonMobil conduct further investigation of the soil, soil gas, and groundwater at the former service <br />station at 75 East Alpine Avenue located on the comer of North EI Dorado Street and East Alpine <br />Avenue. ET1C has submitted a requested Subsurface investigation Work Plan, dated May 2008, to <br />the CRWQCB detailing a soil and groundwater investigation. The CRWQCB approved the work <br />plan .in a letter dated 10 July 2008. <br />The investigation involves advancing at least two cone penetrometer testing borings at the property. <br />The approximate boring locations are shown on the attached .figure (as indicated with the Proposed <br />deep boring symbols that are circled). Prior to drilling, a private utility locator and Underground <br />Services Alert will be contacted to identify below -ground utilities .in the vicinity of the proposed <br />boring locations. A 24 -inch -diameter circle or 2 -foot by 2 -foot square will then be cut in the surface <br />at each location.
