4-IERLAM GR,Afl
ct-
Attorneys At Law
Karna E. rrigfeld
kharrigfe ld@he rumLtree.com
v
July 3, 2002 S
Lori Duncan
San Joaquin County l
Environmental Health Department
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
Re: 75 East Alpine ProDertV
Dear Ms. Duncan:
At our meeting on March 26, 2002, it was agreed that my client would obtain a
survey of the above referenced property in an effort to determine the location of the UST's
on the property to ultimately determine if any tank or part of a tank was located on the
neighboring property. I received the enclosed topography survey from Kjeldsen, Sinnock
and Neudeck, the surveyors that were hired to survey the property. In addition to
preparing the topography survey, they staked the property at the corners of the property
line. The survey shows that the property is 55 feet wide from the sidewalk and about 35
feet of the neighboring property was used by the previous owners for the gas station.
While the tanks do not appear to be located entirely on the neighboring property, it
appears that a part of a tank, namely the piping for the dispenser island, was located on the
neighboring property. As you can see from the enclosed inspection report that was
prepared by San Joaquin County in 1994 when the tanks were removed, the dispenser
island appears to be located near or onto the neighboring property.
I would like to meet you and go out and walk the property to visually inspect the
property line and previous tank and dispenser island location. Please let me know when
would be a convenient time to do such a site inspection.
Very ruly yours,
KARNA E. HARRIGFELD
Attorney-at-Law
cc: David J.
