I
WORK TO BE PERFORMED
TASK 1 PLANNING AND PERMITS
A.I Prepare a brief project workplan including a site plot plan drawn t0 scale,
6.1 Prepsre s sfte health and safety plan.
C.1. Submit the workplan, the health and safety plan, a schedule of implementation, a copy of the completed and
approved permit to backfill from the City of Stockton to Sen Josquin County Public Health SeNloes,
Environmental Health Division (PHSlEHD) for review.
I
TASK 2 SOIL STOCKPILES, CALCULATIONS, SPECIFICATION OF BACKFILL AREA AND MATERIAL
A,` Describe the existing excavation dimensions:length, width and average depth in feet.Comp'ete the dimensions
report by providing the caiculated Orta In cubic feet,
B. Describe the excavation after removing vagetetlon ordebria which may interfere with placement and compaction
of clean low permeability imported fill. Calculate and report the estimated new dimensions(area by length, width
and depth) including the number of cubic yards of soil which will be generated as a result of debris removal.
Cover 2115011 stockpiles as needed to prevent uncontrolled fugitive emissions. Complete the report whit a plot
plan of the site drawn M 90ate Indicating orlpinal excavation dimensions, new overall excavation dimensions as
backfilled, and positions of stockpiles.
TASK3 LABORATORY ANALYSIS
A. Sufficient soil samples must be secured and analyzed In a State Certified laboratory to fully characterize the
I concentralion and distribution of the contaminants in the subsurface of the excavation(one per 2011neal last of
side wall and one bottom) and soil stockpiles (collect 2 samples per 50 cubic yards for In laboratory
composlting). The detection limits used by the laboratoryshall be In aeoordsnoe with those in the LUFT Manual.
B. Ali son samples must be analyzed for the following contaminant9.
-total petroleum hydrocarbons, diesel GGFID 3550!8015
-total petroleum hydrocarbons,gasoline 00-FID 603018015
-benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene GC-PIO 5030/8020
C. The stockpile soil sample which yields the highest concentration of TPH as gasoline shall be analyzed for total
lead.
-total lead AA 7420
TASK 4 SAPKFILL OF CLEARED EXCAVATION
A. Priorto backfilling obtain all necessary permits for excavation, backfill and grading. Utilizing clean imported low
permeability fill, backfill the cleared excavation employing lifts in four to six inch Increments and compact to City
of Stockton Building Department and Uniform Building Code standards. Finished grade shell slope away from
the excavation and sfte surface to prevent ponding. Excavation to be backfilled, compacted and site graded
by Thursday, November 16, 1996,
TASK 6 DID PREPARATION
A. Prepsra a bid proposal which clearly indicates the units of measurement, number of units, cost per unit and a
total dollar amount for the activities noted. Ail data shall be presented in tabular form. Bid to be signed, dated
i
and submitted to PNS/@HD by 6:00 pm Friday, November t0, 1995.
TASK 6 REPORT PREPARATION
A. The final report Ghali summarize ail site activities. Prepare a final report which shall include the tabulated elle
measurements(exoavotion paramatars end total volumes of soil removed and placed, analytical results from the
sampling and compaction testing). All laboratory analyses, final site grading information and copies of
conrpacifon reports shall be submitted to PHSIFHD within 30 days of completion to receive timely compensation.
II
,
i
I
,
i
,
rl
I
2
