Describe the existing excavation dimensions tength, width and average depth in feet.Complete the dimensions
report by providing the calculated area In cubic feet.
8. Describe the excavation after removing vegetatlori ordebrls which may Interfere with placement and compaction
Of clean tow permeabifia imported fill. Calculate and report the estimated new dimensions(area by length, width
and dspth) including the number of cubic yards of soil which will be priarsied as a result of debris removal.
Cover all soil Stockpiles as needed to prevent uncontrolled fugitive emissions. Complete the report with a plot
plan of the site drawn to sewe Indlcating orlglnal excavation dimensions, new over0 excavation dimensions as
backfilled, and positions of stockpiles.
TASK 3 LABORATORY ANALYSIS
A. Suffirient soil samples must be secured and analyzed In a State Certifled laboratory to fully characterize the
concsntratlon and distribution of the contaminants in the subsurface of the excavation(one per 2011neal fast of
side wall and one bottom) and soil stockpiles (collect 2 samples per 50 cubic yards for m laboratory
compositing). The detection limits used by the laboratory shall be In accordance with those in the LOFT Manual.
B. All 3011 samples must be analyzed for the following contaminants:
-total petroleum hydrocarbons, diesel GC-FID 3550/8015
-total petroleum hydrocarbons, gasollne GC-FID 8 0 301601 5
-benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene GC-PID 5030/8020
C. The stockpile soil sample which yields the highest concentration of TPH as gasoline shall be analyzed for total
lead.
-total lead AA 7420
TASK 4 BACKFILL OF CLEARED EXCAVATION
A. Priorto backfilling obtain all here55arypermits forexcavation, backAll and grading. Utilizing clean imported low
permeability fill, backSll the cleared excavation employing lifts in four to six inch increments and compact to City
of Stockton Building Department and Uniform Building Code standards. Finished grade shell slope away from
the excavation and site surface to prevent ponding. Excavation to be backfilled, compacted and site graded
by Thursday, November 16, 1995.
TASK 5 BIO PREPARATION
A. Prepare a bid proposal which clearly indicates the units of measurement, number of units, cost per unit and a
dotal dollar amount for the activities noted. All data shall be presented in tabular form. Bid to be signed, dated
i and submitted to PHS/EHD by 5:00 pm Friday, November 10, 1995.
I
TASK G REPORT PREPARATION
A. The final report shall summarize all site activities. Prepare a final reportwhich shall include the tabulated site
j measurements(excavation paramstars and total volumes of Soil removed and placed, analytical results from the
sampling and compaction testing). All laboratory analyses, final site grading information and copies of
compaction repays shall be submitted to PHS/EHD within 30 days of completion to receive timely compensation.
I
it
2
