ALPINE AVENUE, STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
I reviewed the Request for Extension (Request, cover letter enclosed), received by email and
GeoTracker on 29 December 2006 and submitted by your consultant ETIC Engineering Inc
(ETIC). The Request states that access to one of the two private properties to be investigated
has been delayed, and asks for modifications to the schedule required in my 25 October 2006
Workplan Review (Letter, enclosed), which approved the 2 October 2006 Risk Assessment
and Well Installation Work Plan with modifications.
The Request proposes the following new schedule, "...contingent upon the establishment of
offsite access in a timely manner..."
All groundwater and vapor wells shall be installed by 28 February 2007.
A report of investigation and risk assessment shall be submitted by 27 April 2007, and
this report will include proposed locations for deeper wells.
The deeper wells shall be installed by 27 June 2007, with a report due by
29 August 2007.
The Request is appropriate and necessary to allow ExxonMobil Oil Corporation additional time
to secure access to both properties. The schedule extension is granted as proposed. All
other conditions approved by my Letter remain unchanged. Please procure the necessary
drilling permits, and provide the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department and
myself at least three (3) business days notice prior to fieldwork. You may call me at
(916) 464-4615 for questions or additional information.
%JAMES L. L.
