Alleged Violations Compliance <br /> decontamination The storage area is where all wastes, including <br /> equipment hazardous materials,wastes and absorbent entering <br /> secondary containment, is handled, containerized, and <br /> labeled by properly trained employees. All waste is <br /> properly profiled, managed, and disposed of by a <br /> DTSC licensed hazardous waste hauler. <br /> Boretech employees inspect daily storage area, <br /> secondary containment, areas around equipment, and <br /> locations where hazardous waste is generated and <br /> accumulated. During normal production operations, <br /> wastes observed outside of proper containment will be <br /> cleaned up within 24 hours by appropriately trained <br /> employees. <br /> 403 CCR Failed to keep <br /> 66262.34(d) hazardous waste Once materials are no longer in production and in use <br /> (2) containers closed and become waste, including metal shavings and <br /> except when turnings, and sludge containing metal fines, is <br /> adding or handled, containerized, and labeled by properly <br /> removing trained employees. All waste is properly profiled, <br /> hazardous waste managed, and disposed of by a DTSC licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler. <br /> Boretech ensures all containers used to store <br /> hazardous wastes are closed when not adding or <br /> removing waste. See Exhibit J. <br /> 601 CCR Stored hazardous <br /> 66262.34(d) waste onsite Once a material is no longer in use and becomes a <br /> greater than 180 waste, it is containerized, labeled and stored in the <br /> days waste storage area at the facility. The date marking <br /> the storage time is recorded on the label so that no <br /> waste stays onsite longer than 180 days. See Exhibits <br /> J and K. <br /> Copies of the completed hazardous waste manifests <br /> will be provided to DTSC. Boretech will retain onsite, <br /> copies of all completed waste manifests and receipts <br /> from consolidated waste transporters for a minimum <br /> of 3 years. <br /> 605 CCR Failed to <br /> 66262.34(f) completely label Hazardous waste is labeled and containerized in the <br /> containers or storage area, not the production area.
