All hazardous waste containers shall <br /> be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. During the inspection the cap was placed on and the <br /> drum is now closed. Continue to ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> Class II repeat violation. <br /> 704 CCR 66273.33(b) Failed to properly manage universal waste lamps. <br /> A universal waste(UW) lamp was left leaning against the parts room of the service shop. UW lamps must be stored in a <br /> closed container and in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the environment. Correct immediately by <br /> ensuring that all UW lamps on site are stored in a closed container and in a manner that prevents breakage and <br /> release to the environment. This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 712 CCR 66273.34 Failed to label universal waste to identify type of universal waste. <br /> An unlabeled UW lamp was left leaning against the wall in the parts room of the service shop. UW must be labeled to <br /> identify type of UW. Each lamp or container of UW lamps must be labeled with "universal waste lamp(s)".Correct <br /> immediately by ensuring that all UW lamps are labeled with the words"universal waste lamp(s)".Class II violation. <br /> 713 CCR 66273.35 Stored UW onsite greater than one year or was unable to demonstrate the time UW has been stored. <br /> Facility did not demonstrate when the UW lamp left leaning in the parts room of the service shop became a UW. In the <br /> UW storage container there are two five gallon buckets of UW ballasts with accumulation start dates of January 2013. <br /> These UW ballasts have been on site longer than one year. UW must be properly disposed of within one year of <br /> becoming a UW. Facility must demonstrate when the UW on site became a UW. Ensure that facility can demonstrate <br /> when UW on site became a UW and properly dispose of UW within one year of the waste becoming a UW. Submit a <br /> copy of the disposal receipt for the UW ballasts.
