AR <br />Pacific Coast MS Indust Management Proced <br />C9.7 Scrap Plastic Disposal <br />Aim <br />To insure that scrap plastic is properly handled <br />Responsibility <br />All team members that are involved with the handling of scrap plastic are responsible for <br />following this operational process control. The Department Managers are responsible for <br />collecting data and recording the plastic scrap quantities. <br />Method <br />Read and understand the operational process control <br />Follow the directions provided in the process control <br />Report to supervisor if unable to comply with the directions of the process control for any <br />reason. <br />Records <br />N/A <br />References <br />None Applicable <br />Operational Procedure for: Plastic Disposal <br />• Scrap Plastic Material generated through the processes of P.C.I is to be handled <br />and disposed of properly. <br />• Scrap Plastic Material is to be accumulated in the container provided for that <br />purpose at the source of the scrap plastic <br />• Every effort shall be made to keep the scrap quantity to a minimum; most scraped <br />material is to be recycled through the granulators. <br />• Only contaminated scrap material is to be disposed of by means other than in <br />house recycling. <br />• Materials that are contaminated are disposed of through a designated recycler who <br />has supplied a dumpster for the purpose of accumulating the material to be <br />recycled. <br />• The Assistant Production Control Manager is responsible for contacting the <br />recycler for picks up when the container is full. <br />Issue: 2 October 10, 2008 Authorized By: Jasper Bullock Pagel .1 <br />
